Seems to be constant change and excitement over here these days.
First up, I have started a new project. Well, it is new to me. I am now working with my brother at his business Visualingual. About 7 years ago he and his former partner started a business making seed bombs. Seed bombs are little balls of dirt that contain seeds, you toss them into spaces that need a little beauty and wait for the flowers to bloom. It took off and now that is his full-time gig. Late last year he ended up with the business by himself and now I am jumping in to help where I can. We have grand plans down the road to add products and try out some new ideas. Nothing solid yet, but I will keep you posted as we go. Right now I am most excited about the beneficial bug seed bombs that help attract the best bugs to your yard. You can follow along and hear interesting stories of our childhood on the Visualingual blog, including family dinners.

In other news, we are still working on our adoption fundraising and process. We postponed it a little to raise some more money and get some other things in order but are moving forward. We hope to be an active couple with the agency by mid-June, at which point the waiting begins. My big project for the adoption right now is getting recipes for the cookbook we hope to sell as a fundraiser.
If you would like to donate a recipe you can fill out this form or email me. For you fellow food bloggers if you donate a recipe that is on your blog I will add a link to your blog. This cookbook will be sold primarily online as an e-book so it will be a live link to your site.
We are still raising funds through donations from friends and family via our You Caring site: Help Tom and Anne Adopt if you want to help out in that way. We are really looking forward to adding to our little family. Hopefully, Olive will agree when the little one arrives.

We have done more painting on the house and it is really starting to come together. Hopefully some day soon I will get some pictures up giving you a full tour. For now, you can check them out on Instagram. Tom is trying to convince me to paint the kitchen cabinets, but I am not sure I am ready for the work that will take. Anyone done it and have advice?
I almost forgot! I also got over a foot cut off my hair. That will be another post on donating my hair so stay tuned for that. I am loving having shorter hair again.
I think that is enough for now. I will have some new cookbook posts up this month and hopefully, at least, a recipe or two of my own.
What is new with you? Has 2016 started with a bang for you?
