Made it just in time. I am moments away from having trick or treaters so what better time to show off the halloween decorations.
The mantle is my favorite. We are both big fans of Disney and had purchased the Haunted Mansion poster a few years ago so making it the centerpiece seem perfect. The bows with Jack Skellington was an nice find at Walgreens. Note the Bruin Gnome. He will be there through the football season regardless of holidays. Go Bruins!
The lights underneath the mantle are flickering lights that I tied skeletons to with embroidery floss. Notice my keen attention to detail by clipping the strings! You can’t see them from the couch so I pretend they aren’t there.
These cute little guys are from Gumps a San Francisco store known for luxury gifts. They have some great collectibles and every year they have a line of halloween characters. The first three here during a previous October from Tom.
This year he surprised me with these three little guys. I hope he realizes he is committed to this every year now. Gumps has amazing Christmas ornaments too.
I got more done outside this year than last but still not any where near what I wanted to do. What can I say I still haven’t gotten past being lazy. Almost all of my front decor was inspired by pinterest. The hats were from Brooklyn Limestone. She has the best halloween ideas. I wish I had pulled off my husbands idea and hung the broom behind the hats.
The mummy is all over pinterest and I wouldn’t even know where to begin on crediting that one.
Well I can hear my first trick or treaters. Hope you have a great Halloween!

How fun! We’ve lived in apartments for so many years that I can’t remember the last time we’ve had trick or treaters. The Gumps figures are so cute - I love traditions like that!
This is only our second year out of the city and I was disappointed at how few trick or treaters we had.
