Welcome to the podcast

September 26, 2016 by anne

This is it the intro to the podcast!

Episode 000, because this is really a quick, less than 5 minutes, introduction to what is to come.

I hope you enjoy the intro and are excited to hear the first episode. My plan is to have it live on October 6th. I am submitting to iTunes so you should be able to subscribe soon. Until then tune in here to get the episodes or follow me on Facebook to get the latest episodes the moment they are released.

This really is going to be a celebration of food and shared meals in Indianapolis and the Midwest. If you know people who love any of that I would love if you shared the podcast.

The opening and closing music is from The Hardee’s, a local Indianapolis band. I am grateful to them for letting me use their music. The song specifically is Naptown Funk from their album Gnome State. Listen and buy the album or follow on Facebook to keep their shows on your calendar.

For the record, the idea of publishing is giving me butterflies in my stomach. Here is to new adventures!

It is official. I am starting a Wit Wisdom & Food podcast. I have thought about, talked about and planned this for so long I can hardly believe I have gotten it all together to actually do it. I couldn’t be more excited.

The show will celebrate people who are impacting the local food culture, changing the food system and encouraging shared meals. There will be a heavy focus on organizations and businesses in Indianapolis and the Midwest. There are a lot of amazing ideas and positive actions being taken in Indianapolis and the surrounding area. My hope is this podcast will showcase those ideas and inspire others to start projects in their own communities. [Read more…]

As a home cook and gardener, a former grocery store manager, and an advocate for improving our food system I have thousands of hours of research and real-world experience on how to get good food on our plates. My new challenge and my main focus is how to encourage my daughter to love food & eating as much as we do.
